It’s as simple as this: I love to create beautiful things, and I want to share them with people.
I adore nature and especially feel a deep connection with that closest to me: the deep green woodlands dotted with magical colour changing throughout the year, teeming with life beneath the swaying canopy; by day alive with chirps and cries and song; by night, a blanket of deep peace disturbed only by scuffling and snuffling, pierced by the occasional fox scream or low hoot of an owl.
My tastes have always leaned towards the dark and whimsical, the eerie and the otherworldly, and so it’s with all of these things in mind that I craft my fine art pieces, in the hopes of bringing some of that beauty—some of the magic and majesty of my local nature, and the lens through which I experience it—to you.
Of course, I have other interests outside of these themes, so expect to see some art pertaining to books, music and video games here and there too :’)
My principles—what’s important for me not to compromise on:
- kindness, sustainabilty; I aim, in all things, to do as little harm as humanly possible—to the planet, to people, to animals. If I can’t make a product that meets all of these requirements, then I simply won’t offer it
- quality, beauty; items that are a joy to own and use, that will last and that you’ll love—hopefully forever!
- my health; I won’t go into detail, but it’s not the best and is quite unpredictable. For that reason, I’ll never set myself—or agree to work to—a rush deadline. This way, I can keep creating for a long time yet :)
